We aim to contribute to integrating sustainability principles at every education level and type, fostering critical thinking, environmental advocacy, and social responsibility that brings innovative solutions and drives meaningful action toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
FA-ESD aims to advance Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through comprehensive capacity building, strategic partnerships, and innovative educational programs. In so doing, we are committed to:
- Integrate sustainable development concepts into educational curricula at all levels,
- Address the seventeen SDGs with particular emphasis on Quality Education (SDG 4).
- Develop and deliver specialized training programs for teachers and educators, providing them with the competencies necessary to effectively incorporate sustainability principles into their teaching practices.
- Establish robust networks among HEIs, schools, government bodies, relevant NGOs, and communities to collaboratively tackle our common goals.
- Encourage and support students in developing research initiatives that address pressing sustainability challenges, nurturing their role as active contributors to sustainable solutions and future change-makers.
- Promote positive behaviors that support sustainable development among students, educators, and communities, fostering environmental responsibility and meaningful community engagement.
